🔸 Hello...You should not have started this illegal [and immoral] war, and now you need to end it as soon as possible...Iranians are independent-minded, sovereignty-spirited, and democracy- and freedom-loving, so we will defend the Iranian identity and territorial integrity, as well as our dignity and honor, under any circumstances...Diplomacy is a two-way necessity; and [you should recognize that] the only way to overcome this disastrous crisis is to adopt a win-win strategy that strives to achieve a lasting ceasefire, and a comprehensive agreement..We [Iranians] do not succumb to despotism...Our proud "Woman, Life, Freedom" movement...,proved...that we can assert our...rights through...nonviolent means, without the need for foreign intervention...You started a military aggression that has not only caused, so far, massive suffering and hardship to our people, but also it has resulted in nothing but weakening our country's civil society [and]...our transition to [secular] democracy in Iran...Therefore, foresight, humanity, and even the national interests of the United States dictate that Your Excellency, as the initiator of the war, show courage and stop this destructive war today. Core Principle One: NO to Internal Despotism
اصل اساسی اول: نه به استبداد داخلی
دست رد زدن و مقاومت در برابر استبداد داخلی (به ویژه به نام دین) به منظور گسترش همیارانه یک فرآیند مسالمتآمیز گذار دموکراتیک از ظلم فعلی حاکم بر کشور، فقط با تکیه بر اراده ملی و تلاشهای خشونت پرهیز مستقل از وابستگی به قدرت ها، پول ها، اسلحه ها، و سیاست های بیگانه) ما، مردم ایران)
Rejection of and resistance against domestic dictatorship (especially in the name of religion) in order to co-develop a peaceful and democratic process of transitioning from the current ruling tyranny, relying solely on the national will and the self-reliant nonviolent efforts of we, the Iranian people -- with no dependence on foreign powers, monies, weapons, and policies.
Core Principle Two: NO to External Colonialism, Sanctions, and War
اصل اساسی دوم: نه به استعمار خارجی، تحریم و جنگ
عدم هر گونه دخالت خارجی، به ویژه در تلاشهای خشونت پرهیز ضد تحریم و ضد جنگ (به شمول جنگ داخلی) ما، مردم ایران، در حالی که صرفا با تکیه بر اراده ملی خود برای گسترش همیارانه استقلال پایدار ملی و حفظ تمامیت ارضی ایران مبارزه میکنیم، در جهت رسیدن به صلح واقعی، امنیت، و سلامت زیستمحیطی، در سطوح داخلی، منطقهای و بینالمللی
No foreign interference, especially in the nonviolent anti-sanctions and anti-war (including civil war) efforts of we, the Iranian people, as we struggle, strictly self-reliantly, to co-develop lasting national sovereignty and preservation of the territorial integrity of Iran, as we seek real peace, security, and ecological health, domestically, regionally, and internationally.
Core Principle Three: NO to the Evil Cycle of Violence
اصل اساسی سوم: نه به چرخه اهریمنی خشونت
تکیه صرف و ممتد بر سنن پرافتخار خشونت پرهیزی ایرانیِ در تلاشهای متکی بر اراده مستقل ملی مردم ایران جهت صلح سازی (و در عین حال یادگیری از تجربیات خشونت پرهیز سایر تمدنها) به منظور گسترش همیارانه دو اصل اساسی فوق، ضمن اذعان مداوم به این واقعیت که «خون به خون شستن محال است و محال!» (مولانا)
Relying solely and continuously on our proud traditions of Iranian nonviolence, in the self-reliant peace-building efforts of we, the Iranian people (while also learning from the nonviolence experiences of other civilizations), in order to co-develop the above two core principles, while continually recognizing the fact that "washing out blood with blood is impossible; IMPOSSIBLE! آنچه می خواهیم

یک) ما خواستار "تحول خشونت پرهیز رژیم" (و نه "براندازی رژیم" -- بویژه با دخالت خارجی، یا بر اثر تجاوز نظامی بیگانه و یا جنگ داخلی) هستیم؛ پس بنابراین، و بر اساس سه اصل اساسی ذکر شده در بالا، اهداف ما در "همصدا" از این قرار است: برگزاری یک همهپرسی قابل اعتماد و با نظارت بینالمللی برای تجدید نظر یا تغییر قانون اساسی جمهوری اسلامی ایران -- که سه گزینه اصلی آن به رای آزاد مردم ایران گذاشتن نوع حکمرانی مطلوب آنهاست، از میان این سه گزینه: الف) حفظ نظام "اسلامی" فعلی، ب) نظام پادشاهی مشروطه، و پ) جمهوری دمکراتیک سکولار. اگر در این همه پرسی یکی از این سه گزینه اکثریت مطلق (یعنی 64 درصد یا دو سوم) آرا را کسب نکند، در مرحله دوم رای گیری از میان دو گزینه ای که بیشترین رای مرحله اول را آورده اند، آن نوع حکمرانی که رای بیشتری کسب کند برنده نهایی همه پرسی خواهد بود. پس بر پایه این نتیجه نهایی همه پرسی، ما خواستار تشکیل یک مجلس ملی مؤسسان منتخب ملت هستیم (اگر نوع "ب" یا "پ" حکمرانی رای آزادانه مردم را کسب کرده باشد) که نمایندگان این مجلس مردمی به طور همیارانه قانون اساسی دموکراتیک، کثرت گرا و سکولار جدیدی را برای ایران بر اساس اصول جهانی حقوق بشر تدوین خواهند کرد؛ و این قانون اساسی، آزادی نهادینه شده مردم ما را برای تشکیل احزاب سیاسی مورد انتخاب خود (مثلا لیبرال دمکراسی و سوسیال دمکراسی) تضمین خواهد نمود
1) We call for nonviolent "regime transformation" (not "regime change" -- especially through foreign intervention, or as a result of foreign military aggression or civil war); therefore, and based on the three Core Principles mentioned above, our goals in the National Peace and Democracy Coalition of Iran (NPDCI) are as follows:
To hold a credible, internationally supervised referendum to revise or change the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran--in which, these three main options will be be put to the free vote of the Iranian people, i.,e., what type of governance they wish to choose, namely: a) Keeping the current "Islamic" system, b) Constitutional monarchy, or c) Secular democratic republic.
If in this referendum none of these three options obtain an absolute majority (i.e., 64 percent or two-thirds) of the votes, in a second round of voting, between the two options that received the most votes in the first round, the type of governance that obtains more votes than the other will be the final winner of the referendum.
Hence, based on this final referendum result, we want the formation of a freely elected National Constituent Assembly (if one of the above-mentioned "B" or "C" options has been freely chosen by the people), and this Assembly's representatives will then collaboratively draft a new democratic, pluralistic, and secular constitution for Iran, based on universal human rights principles; and this constitution will guarantee the institutionalized freedom of our people to form the political parties of their choice--for example, liberal democratic and social democratic ones.
دو) ما خواهان آن هستیم که این مجلس مؤسسان منتخب مردم (اگر نتیجه همه پرسی مورد اشاره در بالا تشکیل آنرا ملزم کند -- یعنی "ب" یا "پ") قانون اساسی حاصله را در یک همهپرسی ملی قابل اعتماد و با نظارت بینالمللی دیگر، برای کسب رأی آزاد مردم ایران عرضه نماید
2) We want that this elected Constituent Assembly (if the result of the referendum mentioned above requires its formation -- i.e. "b" or "c") to then present, for the free vote of the Iranian people, their final draft of the resulting Constitution, in another credible and internationally supervised) national referendum.
سه) و در نتیجه، پس از رأی راستی آزمایی شده مثبت اکثریت 51% مردم به قانون اساسی جدید، تلاش برای تهیه زمینه و لوازم برگزاری انتخابات آزاد (و قابل اعتماد با نظارت بینالمللی) برای مجلس ملی و ریاست جمهور "جمهوری سکولار ایران" دو هدف راهبردی بعدی همیاری ملی صلح و دمکراسی ایران (همصدا) خواهد بود -- زیرا تشکل عمیقا مدنی ما خواهان چنین جمهوری سکولار دمکراتیک کثرتگرایی است، ولی اگر مردم ایران در همه پرسی مورد اشاره در بند "یک" در بالا صادقانه بر خلاف خواسته خشونت پرهیز ما رای دادند، ما در مقابل رای دمکراتیک ملت نخواهیم ایستاد، زیرا حقوق خشونت پرهیز شهروندی و به همچنین حقوق بشر را پایه ای میدانیم، به شمول حق خودمان برای این انتخاب که در چنین شرایطی به کناری بخزیم، تا با تداوم استبداد (به
اصطلاح) "اسلامی" فعلی در ایران، یا تشکیل یک حکومت سلطنتی دیگر در میهن عزیزمان "همصدا" نشویم
چهار) بخش مهمی از اهداف اصلی همصدا حمایت و همبستگی خشونت پرهیز ما، مردم ایران است (بویژه در خارج از کشور) با تشکل های جامع ملی صلح و دمکراسی طلب داخل ایران، که بر اساس سه اصل اساسی ذکر شده، خواهان برگزاری همه پرسی ها و انتخابات دمکراتیک ذکر شده در سه بند بالا بوده، و (به همچنین) تشکیل یک کمیسیون حقیقت یاب معتبر را خواستاریم، تا ابعاد گوناگون کشتار و فجایع وحشتناک دیماه 1404 در ایران بیطرفانه بررسی و روشن شود
And of course,
4) An important part of the core objectives of the National Peace and Democracy Coalition of Iran (NPDCI) is the nonviolent solidarity and support of we, the Iranian people (especially abroad) with the comprehensive national peace and democracy organizations inside Iran; who, based on the Three Core Principles (mentioned above) want the holding of the referendums and the elections mentioned in Sections 1, 2, and 3 (above), and also demand the formation of a credible fact-finding commission, so that the various dimensions of the horrific massacres and tragedies of January 2026 in Iran can be impartially investigated and clarified.
